Just a reminder that we do offer the use of our Accu-cut die cut machine to our customers to use for free if they purchase paper from us. The cupcake wrap, cupcake gift card holder, cupcake box, and the fish and butterfly cupcake toppers were all cut out from the Accu-cut. The ideas are really unlimited when you have so many fun shapes/boxes/envelopes to choose from and it only takes seconds to cut them out! Ask any of our staff and we are happy to show you how it works.
Every Wednesday we offer Lunchtime Demos from 12 to 1 and if you were there this week you probably had a lot of fun!! Marilyn had some really clever examples for "Cupcake Ideas" which included cupcake toppers, cupcake wraps from our die cut machine using new papers from doodlebug and Lawn Fawn, as well as ideas for cupcake boxes, faux cupcakes with a wrapped-up BABY ONESIE (yes, that's what the blue cupcake is with the adorable elephant cupcake topper), cupcake-shaped gift card holder, and lastly some little cupcake candles made with paper and twine. If you were one of the lucky ladies that enjoyed this demo then you know each attendee received an actual cupcake to take home! As another quick tip, Marilyn demonstrated how you could easily punch holes in 2 clear plastic cups to make a quick cupcake box. Such a smart idea!!

Let's start with the first thing that caught my eye.. doodlebug... AND THEIR NEW GLITTER AND VELLUM PAPERS!!! I love these lines oh so much! They took glitter paper to a whole new level by adding in a chevron pattern. This extremely glittery paper comes in every color of the rainbow as well as black, grey and white. If glitter isn't your thing but vellum is.. well doodlebug also has something for you! They've come out with 6 colors of embossed vellum. These papers are beautiful and would work great to layer with, add a fun element to a card or page, or even made into a lampshade (p.s. we also carry the Paper Fusion Creative Lamp Kits in the store that you can put your own paper into!). The other 2 lines we got in from doodlebug are the Kraft in Color line and the super adorable Springtime line. If you are already working on Easter cards, the Springtime line might just be what you are looking for. The line also arrived with matching mini treat bags (2×3) and 6x6 paper pads. Kraft in color is a fun line. Lots of chevron, dots, and a fun beehive print. The color combos are great for vintage party themes or as an accent with any spring or summer project you may be working on. This line also has 6x6 paper pads. The next big order we got in was from KaiserCraft and all I have to say is I love the map paper from the Now Boarding line!! And the Base Coats collection! And the 75 cents collection!! Ok I love it all. But I'm a sucker for vintage and everything map related. KaiserCraft definitely did a great job with this color pallette. The Pebbles Garden Party line is really fun, all about flowers and the floral prints we got in are really fun so whether you are having a mid-afternoon tea with the ladies or making invites for Mothers Day, this paper is sure to go well with the atmosphere. And speaking of floral prints, 2 new papers from Anna Griffin also came in. The prints are simple but beautiful to add a more elegant feel to your invitations or evening events. The Simple Stories line is really sweet :-) For those pictures of you and your sweetheart, the pictures of your little family having a picnic at the park, for the moments captured when your heart is smiling and the sun is setting.. the Homespun line is absolutely the paper to help express the love and family feel that you want to remember. This line has a traditional color pallette that works well for those old family reunion photos too. If you are working on a Family Tree, an anniversary gift, or gathering photos to give to a loved one, you might find the Homespun line to match your ideas perfectly. We have so many new papers! We'd love to share all the new stuff with you so come in today and see all the new prints for yourself :-)
We just got in a TON of new papers this week. 3 new lines from Graphic 45... Botanical Tea, Good 'Ol Sport, and By The Sea. All double sided with some of the best prints we've seen so far this year. We all just love the Botanical Tea line which is elegant and beautiful... the best color pallette for the early spring and Easter cards. Good 'Ol Sport has a bunch of vintage sports prints which really bring you back to the beginning days of baseball, soccer, basketball, football and many more! Perfect for cards for men or a sports page for your favorite team-player. The By The Sea line has some really intricate sea life prints that include octopus and starfish as well as lighthouses and anchors!! Such a beautiful line to accent those beach trips you might be planning for this summer... All of the new lines come with paper packs and stickers as well as paper cut-outs. We also got in 2 new lines from Lawn Fawn which are very BRIGHT AND COLORFUL and we also got in new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies!! There is so much new product in this week we've been swimming in it!! We've had to rearrange parts of our store to fit it all... come in today to see all of our fun new stuff :-) We just unpacked some brand new papers and the colors are DELICIOUS. Ok.. In terms of food I think Squid Ink is weird, and I'm not sure I'd be willing to taste Caramelized Mustard, but when it comes to colors of paper, I'll say it again, DELICIOUS. Chestnut Creme and Thai Basil are some of the richest colors, I also love Vino Cotta and Smoked Sea Salt. I love that a company has finally decided to use food as a color palette! There are a lot of great colors.. and we carry them in 8 1/2" × 11" cardstock in packs and openstock, also in A2 and A7 size cards and envelopes as well as legal size envelopes. Our selection is BEAUTIFUL and all of us at the store are in love with these color choices!! Come visit us today and see for yourself :-) It seems like we are always on the lookout for new ideas to make cards and scrapbook pages for the men in our lives. Today Laurie and I used some of our new products to give a fun look to a fishing-themed page and we did a card too using a similar idea. We used some of our new stickers, photo die cuts, and a couple shapes from our die cut machine at the back of our store... which is free for our customers to use if they purchase paper from us. We have a large selection of 12 x 12 papers that have realistic prints of clay, wooden planks, brick, sand, tree bark, burlap, straw, water and so many more! If you are looking for a true real-life look for your next project, look no further because we have lots of great options! Come in today and see how we can help your ideas come to life :-) Elli |
