The definition of a Mandala is "a geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism"
Elli was the Demonstrator this week.. we talked about Rotational Symmetry and made Mandalas in a variety of different ways!!
You can use SNOWFLAKE die-cuts, die-cut leaves and Nesting Hexagon die-cuts to make your own Mandalas at home!!
By adding a Peace sentiment, and picking some contrasting colors, you can really create a beautiful Mandala Card
Check out this idea.. you can use a Parallel Pen to make a Mandala!! Using the Chisel-tip, you can create nice, wide lines which can add a new element to your Mandalas..
Of course, one of our FAVORITE pens, the Black Glaze Pen, is FANTASTIC for drawing Mandalas!!
... it even works on top of Colorburst, Pearl-ex powders, and Acrylic Paint!
If you are struggling to make a *perfect* circle, you can trace a circle with a pencil FIRST and then go back over with a Black Glaze Pen to cover the pencil and make your own creative Mandala image!!
Join us for Demo each week on Wednesdays!! Noon to 1pm here at the store! Next week's theme is.. Impossible Cards!!
