(though.. who are we kidding.. they are ALWAYS fantastic!)
The first card from class was made using this wonderful, BRAND NEW set from Lawn Fawn, Toadally Awesome
We used the Tim Holtz Platform to stamp these images!
-Stamp the lily pad and cat tails on the piece of white card stock, color with Prismacolor pencils
-Layer the Green Plaid Paper (new from Lawn Fawn, Perfectly Plaid), yellow paper, and light green paper underneath the white paper where your lily pad is stamped
-Stamp the frog on a separate piece of white card stock, color with Prismacolor pencils, and fussy-cut the frog
-Use a pop-dot to attach the frog to the front of the card
-Use the Copper Penny Nuvo Crystal Drops to add dimension onto the cat tails!
-Die-cut the Cheery Flower Collage (using a home die-cut machine) out of black card stock
-Use the Distress Oxide inks and press the ink-pads DIRECTLY onto the black card stock shape. Once you have applied a generous amount of ink in whatever colors you'd like, spritz the black card stock with water to activate the Oxide Inks
-Die-cut a circle that is just the same size as the circle in the Cheery Flower Collage so they match up (Wendy used the Circle Die Layering Basics by Tonic). Again, take the Oxide Inks and APPLY DIRECTLY to the white card stock. After you have applied a generous amount of ink, spritz the white card stock with water to activate the Oxide Inks
-Now, layer the card together! Wendy used a beautiful grey mesh Handmade Paper, a bit of ribbon with a purple stripe, and some textured paper at the bottom.
Check out some of these other ones students made...
This last card was really fun to see come together..
Wendy used this new stamp set from Altenew, Henna Elements
-Stamp the sprigs and leaves on the card base FIRST, arranging them in a beautiful mandala-shape
-Stamp and emboss the Flowers with White Embossing Powder on Vellum
-Color the flowers on the BACKSIDE of the Vellum using Prismacolor pencils
-Attach the flowers using pop-dots
-Ink the edge of the paper by rubbing the edge with the Nuvo Blending Sponges and new Clair Ink!
-Finish off the card with a bit of Handmade Floral Paper at the bottom of the card
It always makes us SO HAPPY to see our students and customers come back to show us what they learned in class.. and everyone's cards always turn out so WONDERFUL!!
