All of these cards have a more subtle, artist touch to them, making them great for any occasion! The inside is left blank.. which is great for stamping your own sentiment or writing your own personalized note
Wendy used a piece of black paper and a piece of white paper to create this effect.
Using a brayer and Pebeo Studio Acrylic paints, Wendy applied a small dot of 4 colors of paint.. using the brayer to make a thin coat on the Gelli-plate.
Then, using stencils made by Joggles, Wendy did a mono-print off of the Gelli-plate onto the black paper. She removed the stencil and did another mono-print, this time with the white piece of paper.. the results are astounding..
Next, Wendy cut a large image of the mono-print out of her black piece and used the leftover scraps of paper to create a woven effect.. how cool is that?!!
It was so fun to walk around the room and see other people thinking outside of the box a little bit..
Wendy included a tiny bit of Stardream, Gold paper in with their card making kit.. it was really fun to see how the students used the pop of gold in unique ways!
This card was also made using the Gelli-plate.
This technique is a little different. Wendy used these 3 unusual-shaped Gelli-plates, which are the Gelpress Petites. These unique plates are great for creating unique effects but keep it small so you can do multiples on a card.
Wendy used a different color of acrylic paints on each block. Then, she used stamps (the ones in the photo are Lil' Sea Urchin and Half Shells, made by Fred B. Mullett). By stamping the image into the Gelli-plate, you are able to imprint that shape into your paint!
Once again, doing a mono-print to transfer the image onto the black paper.
Wendy finished off the card with a die-cut from Elizabeth Craft, Leafy Branch.
First, stamp some ink out on a silicone craft mat. Spritz some water on the ink to activate the colors.
*LET IT DRY*
Apply a generous coat of Detail Clear embossing powder and heat set.
Do a second layer of the VersaMark ink pad and a second layer of the Detail Clear. BEFORE YOU HEAT SET IT, sprinkle on some inclusions! In this class.. Wendy used 2 different products, both by Stampendous.. Glitter Mix and Shaved Ice.
As you are heating up your embossing powder, you will see the colors COME TO LIFE!!
